Savona and Vado Ligure, we confirm hailstorm with beans up to 2 cm, or occasionally slightly higher.
LOMBARDY
Almè (Bergamo), 1-2 ha.
Besozzo (Varese), news of strong hailstorm with very hard beans of about 2 cm in diameter.
Brenna (Como), hail with light deposit on the ground but grains that should not have exceeded 1-2 cm.
Seregno (Monza Brianza), violent hailstorm with deposit on the ground and grains that could have exceeded 2 cm in diameter.
Roverbella, Medole and Castel d’Ario (province of Mantua), strong hailstorm with major damage to the sector, grains of at least 2 cm, do not rule out the possibility of larger grains.
In the province of Brescia a hailstorm occurred in the area around Montichiari with damage to the agricultural sector.
MARCHE
More news on hail in Pesaro. Beyond Gradara (grains also 5-6 cm) and more generally the area between Gabicce and Tavullia, strongly affected both Pesaro and Fano, including the A14 motorway that passes through the area. The largest grains have reached 6-7 cm in diameter causing extensive and widespread damage to cars in both the Pesaro area and the Fano area.
Gradara (Pesaro Urbino), violent hailstorm with grains of 3 cm and over. Reported damage.
PIEDMONT
Reported hail showers on Turin west but grains that should not have exceeded 2 cm in diameter.
Orsara Bormida (province of Alessandria), strong hailstorm, reported damage to the agricultural sector, probable beans of at least 2 cm.
EMILIA ROMAGNA
Between Consandolo, Ospital Monacale and Ferry (province of Ferrara), strong hailstorm, many damages to the agricultural sector, beans of about 2 cm, possible a little larger.
Bellaria-Igea Marina (province of Rimini), strong hailstorm, grains up to almost 3 cm.
SPAIN
Flix and La Fatarella (province of Tarragona), strong hailstorm with beans up to 2.5 cm.
We have news of other hailstorms in Catalonia, in the areas of Badalona, of the Montserrat (inland of Barcelona), however we have no news of events with large sized grains.
FRANCE
In the Gironde department, strong hailstorms also affected the area around Auros, including the section of the A62 motorway, and the area of Bourg, Lansac and surroundings. Beans maximum size at least 2 cm, locally larger possible.
BOSNIA
Cazin (Cantone dell’Una-Sana), violent hailstorm with grains of about 5 cm may have been even higher grains. High car damage reported. Likely involvement of neighboring municipalities such as Urga and Polje.
Bosanska Krupa (Canton of Una-Sana), dense violent hailstorm with beans of 2 cm but there may have been larger grains. Not excluding damages.
Zenica, violent thunderstorm with hail showers. Beans 1-2 cm.
CROATIA
Sibenik (Dalmatia), violent thunderstorm with hail showers. Grains which, however, should not have exceeded 2 cm.
POLAND
Olsztyn (Warmian-Masurian), reported hail showers with grain max 2 cm.
GREAT BRITAIN
Strong hailstorm in North Yorkshire, in particular between Brandsby and Helmsley, with a light accumulation on the road and not very big grains (not over 2 cm) but hard. Therefore, the possibility of some damage is not excluded.
RUSSIA
Stepnoy (Aksaj district, near Rostov-na-Donu), dense hail with grains between 2 and 3 cm. Reported damage. The hailstorm has also affected some neighborhoods in the northern suburbs of Rostov-na-Donu.
GERMANY
Kandern and Holzen (government district of Friborg, Baden-Wurttemberg region), strong hailstorm with accumulation on the ground, however there are small-sized grains, generally under 2 cm. Given the amount of hail we can not exclude the possibility of some larger grain.
