ITALY
EMILIA ROMAGNA
Bologna, reported abundant hailstorm with deposit on the ground. Particularly involved in the north and west districts of the city, but with hail that has also fallen in other areas. The presence of grains over 2 cm is not excluded.
LAZIO
News of violent hail showers on north Rome, with accumulation on the ground and grains that would have reached locally 2-3 cm. The storm has spread on the Salaria, then east-northeast also on Tivoli.
Tarquinia (Viterbo), reported violent hailstorm with grains that would have exceeded 2 cm in diameter. Possible damage.
The hailstorm that struck Rome north and Tivoli, also involved Guidonia with beans of 2 cm or so.
PUGLIA
Casarano (Lecce), reported possible air horn with associated medium-sized hailstorm. Beans that may have reached locally 3-4 cm, causing damage.
On the road that connects Putignano to Gioia del Colle (Bari), strong hailstorm, grains of over 2 cm, possible up to 3 cm.
Manfredonia and surroundings (Foggia), hailstorm but with beans of modest size, under 2 cm.
GREECE
Strong hailstorm on the southern outskirts of Thessaloniki, in the Panorama area reported auto damage for grains over 3 cm. Hailstones have also hit the area between Triandria, Pylaia and Kalamaria. Hail with grains a bit ‘smaller even in the city center, large enough, however, to trigger the burglar alarms.
Agkathia and Kipseli (near Alexandria, West Macedonia), strong hailstorm, 2-3 cm grains.
Malevizi, Kato Asites and Dafnes (Heraklion province, Crete), hailstorms with damages to the agricultural sector. Beans of about 2 cm, possible maximum maximum size.
BULGARIA
Bughino and Balgarchevo (near Blagoevgrad), strong hailstorms, size beans not currently known but significant damage is reported.
Kyustendil, violent cloudburst sometimes accompanied by hail, with beans that may have exceeded 2 cm. Some material damage is reported.
Razgrad, hail but with small grains, under 2 cm.
KOSOVO
Rahovec and its surroundings, as far as Fortesë and Xërxë, ditches hailed, reported damage to the agricultural sector, beans up to at least 2 cm.
ROMANIA
In the vicinity of Biharia (Bihor district), the areas most affected by hail were those of Hodoş, Tămăşeu, Sălard and Satu Nou with grains up to 6 cm. There are many car damage.
MOLDOVA
Strong hailstorms have affected the countries of Hlinaia and Gordineştii Noi in the Edineţ district. Many damages to the agricultural sector for beans up to about 3 cm.
TURKEY
Cambagi (province of Ordu), dense hailstorm, grains up to over 2 cm.
Surroundings of Afyonkarahisar, strong hailstorm, beans up to 3 cm. Strike probably areas straddling the districts of Afyonkarahisar and Şuhut. At the moment there is no known place.
Güvercin (district of Siverek, province of Şanlıurfa), strong dry hailstorm, grains up to 4-5 cm. It is noted that the area is sparsely inhabited.
Bozova (Hacıköy district, Şanlıurfa province), dense hail, beans up to over 2 cm.
